|NOTE on the ORDER – CYCLE:
The Order–cycle consists of 9 parts (it is however possible to include the piece Nattarbete to the whole). The nine parts are to be considered (without exception) as individual pieces. Since the pieces span almost five years in conception one can – with benefit – perform smaller cycles within the long cycle. To perform the cycle in its entirety takes around (effective performance time) two hours and 15' (with an additional time of 10'-15' if also Nattarbete is included) and requires 11 musicians. The Order–cycle takes its name from the poetry collection Order by Swedish writer Lars Norén from 1978. All pieces are related to the poetry, each in its own way. For a more elaborated explanation on the music and text relations as well as the cycle as a whole, please contact the composer: firstname.lastname@example.org or read my master thesis Ordermusiken (in Swedish) which exclusively deals with the ideas, inspirations as well as the majority of the featured pieces of the Order-cycle.
